Definition of Benchmark Measures: Externally Funded Faculty
- Externally Funded Faculty
- The percentage of UT faculty members (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor) and Selected Staff (IPS Exempt Staff, UT-Extension faculty, specialists and county directors) who have outreach programs funded by external grants or contracts. The grant or contract must be currently active, but a portion of the faculty member’s salary need not be paid from the grant or contract. Funding will be based on COEUS database for entries coded public service. Individuals listed as PIs or Co-PIs will be considered as funded.
